Samantha Calias, BA

Samantha Calias, BA in Psychology from The Catholic University of America. She is currently enrolled in the clinical master’s program at UMass Dartmouth and is working on a project examining healing processes in survivors of sexual assault. After graduation, Samantha plans to work with families who have been affected by trauma.

 


Samantha Eckrich, BA, BS

Samantha is an M.A. student in the clinical psychology program at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She received her B.S. in psychology and B.A. in music from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. Samantha’s interests include psychological assessment, longitudinal impacts of childhood trauma, evidence-based treatments for trauma, NSSI, particularly within forensic inpatient and corrections settings, evidence-based treatments for eating disorders across the lifespan, and improving disparities in health care for LGBTQIA+ individuals. Samantha is currently working on a research project surveying privacy concerns and the impacts covid-19 within forensic settings for staff and trainees alike. After graduation, Samantha plans to obtain licensure as a mental health counselor, gain additional experience in the field, and further hone her clinical interests. Her long-term goal is to become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, and open her own practice where she would be able to prescribe medication and offer evidence-based and holistic therapy to her clients.


Adedoyin Okanlawon, BS

Adedoyin Okanlawon earned a B.S. in psychology from Rochester University. She is a master’s student in the research psychology program. Currently, she is working with Dr. Lamade on project related to trauma and sexual aggression. In collaboration with Dr. Lamade and Dr. Betancourt’s team, Adedoyin is completing her thesis, that examines the effects of community acceptance and stigma on psychological outcomes for war effect youth. Adedoyin plans to pursue her PhD in psychology to study the effects of trauma and treatment options for non-western populations.


Courtney Dwyer, BS, CTRP-C

Courtney Dwyer is a student of the Clinical Psychology graduate program. She holds her B.S. in Psychology from Bridgewater State University and has earned certification as a Clinical Trauma and Resilience Practitioner.  Post-graduation, Courtney plans to examine developmental trauma while working with preschool aged children and their families.
